Very interesting statistics.... I was compelled to write because I love animals, and I know that many are run down at night when, in their innocence and cloaked by the darkness, they wander into the roads... Some are targets of thoughtless drivers..... I wonder how best to interpret these figures, and how best to use them.... Thanks for the information Ivan...
ReplyDeleteOn my way back from a hike in NH I saw 5 roadkills... The evening before while driving towards a restaurant half an hour away from the place I was staying, we saw a fox, a raccoon, and a mouse cross the road. Thankfully, we didn't hit any of them. Roads are major killers in the animal world.
